Office policies
Version 2026-11
Draft awaiting legal review. The final text may change before Baittuna opens to the public.
These policies apply to every real-estate office and independent agent that uses Baittuna, and to their team members. The account owner accepts them for the office when it registers, and again when a new version is published.
1. Who can list
- Real-estate offices and agents working in Erbil and Kirkuk, with true business and contact details.
- Verification is optional, but only verified offices and agents show a verified badge.
2. Listing rules
- List only properties you have the right to offer.
- Give the real price in one currency, Iraqi dinars or US dollars, and the rent period for rentals.
- Use real, recent photos of the property. Do not put phone numbers, logos over the property or other contact details in photos, titles or descriptions; customers reach you through Baittuna.
- Choose the right category and fill in its details honestly.
- Mark the location as exact or approximate honestly.
- Confirm that each listing is still available at least every 30 days. Listings that are not confirmed are marked as needing a freshness check.
- Mark a property reserved, sold or rented, or archive it, as soon as that happens.
3. Customers
- Reply promptly. Your typical reply time is shown on your public profile.
- Use a customer's details only to answer them about the property they asked about. Do not add them to marketing lists or pass their details on.
- Respect a customer who asks not to be contacted.
- Never ask for money before a customer has visited the property and seen the title deed.
4. Visits
Confirm a visit request or propose another time quickly. Be there at the confirmed time, and record honestly whether the visit took place.
5. Your team
The owner is responsible for what team members do in the dashboard. Give each person only the permissions they need, and remove people who leave the office.
6. Fees
Plans, lead fees and deal fees are as shown on the Billing page of the dashboard and on each invoice. If you disagree with a fee, open a dispute from Billing. Invoices left unpaid after the grace period may lead to the office being suspended; your records are kept.
7. Moderation
Baittuna may correct obvious errors in a listing, or hide a listing that breaks these rules, and will tell you why. You can fix the listing or appeal through Help and support. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to the office account being suspended or closed.
8. Customer data and documents
You are responsible for customer data you print, copy or export, and for keeping it safe. The contract templates in Baittuna are starting points, not legal advice; have them checked by a lawyer before you rely on them.
9. Changes
When these policies change, the dashboard shows the new version and asks the owner to accept it.
